Mustang low over house heading West at 13.25 GMT. First warbird for a while. Always good to hear that sound. This will have to be my next kit build.
As someone who would rather look up than down here is a blog of the 'extraordinary' things that I see in the sky.

August sky
Great thirty minutes spent looking at the night sky yesterday from 10.00 BST. Four satellites, the ISS and two meteors, one of which was one of the best ones I've ever seen. It wasn't a Perseid, rather a sporadic, but is hopefully a precursor to this coming weekend's Perseid shower.

ISS
20:51 BST. The ISS makes a pass overhead, West to East, magnitude -3.3
The ISS is the central dot. The white line is an airliner.

Asteroid
Asteroid DA14 passed earth yesterday. It came within about 17,000 miles. I could have seen it from my garden if it hadn't been cloudy. Typical UK. Big space event and we can't see it.
